School Based Prevention Counseling Services

(Program)

Provides school-based prevention and intervention programs for adolescents in 6th through 12th grades.  Addresses issues concerning drug and alcohol use, depression, truancy, low-self esteem, chronic truancy, grief issues, children of divorce, teen pregnancy, and children of alcoholics or substance abusers.

Eligibility: Students in 6th through 12th grades in the Adirondack Central, Beaver River Central, Copenhagen Central, Harrisville Central, Lowville Academy, and South Lewis Central School Districts

Application Process: Referrals can be made by parents, teachers, other school personnel, community agencies, or students themselves
