2023 Saint Lawrence County Free Rabies Shot Clinics

(Program)

Offers free rabies vaccination clinics for owners of dogs, ferrets, and cats. Owners are required to keep pets on a leash or in a carrier and bring their pet's past rabies shot records.

NYS Public Health Law requires that all puppies and kittens get their first rabies shot at 3 months of age. They also need to get a booster shot at 1 year old, and again every three years.

Eligibility: St. Lawrence County residents

Application Process: Pre-registration via the St. Lawrence County Public Health Department website one week prior to the clinic or by contacting the host town's clerk at https://www.stlawco.org/Departments/PublicHealth/

Required Documentation: Current rabies certificate (if available)

Fees: Voluntary donations appreciated
